Blackfriar Exterior Wood Protector Gold Star offers solvent-based protection for wood. It is suitable for use on sheds, fences, timber joinery, decking and garden furniture and is available in multiple colours.
Exterior Wood Protector can be applied by brush or roller and has been designed to deliver UV protection and to be water repellent.

How to apply Blackfriar wood preservative
Blackfriar wood preservative is easy to apply and quick to take effect. Follow these guidelines to apply Blackfriar wood preservative:
- Check that the wood is clean and dry. Blackfriar Exterior Wood Preservative Gold Star is most effective when applied to dry wood.
- Treat mould or mildew on the wood before applying the wood preservative.
- Shake the tin of Blackfriar wood preservative vigorously before use.
- Start by testing a small area first to check you are happy with the colour / shade.
- Apply Blackfriar Exterior Wood Preservative Gold Star with a brush or roller.
- Ensure you apply enough coats to fully saturate the wood. If applying more than one coat, allow the first coat to penetrate the wood before immediately applying the second coat while the first coat is still wet. We recommend using a minimum of 2 coats.
- Blackfriar wood preservative should be dry within 6 hours of application.
